Supportive Self Care Rituals
Rest, Restore & Rejuvenate
As a collective we are feeling drained extremely drained by the significant course of events that have unfolded over the last few weeks. Now is our time to allow these emotions to run through us, feel them in their entirety and then send them on their merry way with pure love and kindness. Once we have undertake this powerful practice, via daily meditations, we can then pivot to course correct and ensure we move towards a place of gratitude and inner peace.
I will not deny that this journey will not be filled with many ups and downs, however, ensuring that we are continually supporting our mind, our body and our emotions on a daily basis is paramount. Here we can work together to shift this collective state of fear and support it to move into a place of love.
Uncertainty is a scary place to be for most of us, as a 'loss of control' brings up allllll that we tend to push down in our 'normal lives'. Here we may not be familiar with what tools we need to lean upon in times like these which is completely fine. Please do not feed any judgement or disappointment in yourself, as I am here to help support you through this journey, wherever that may be.
5 Pillars of Sustainable Health
See below for my 5 strong pillars of good health that will deeply serve you on so many levels, now and for years to come;
1. MENTAL HEALTH
During times like this our nervous systems are Sympathetic Nervous System (a.k.a fight and flight) is elevated more than ever. Why? Because uncertainty, loss of income, loss of purpose, loss of connection and allll that comes with this dramatic shift in our lives is louder more than ever. Therefore, ensuring that we are seriously UPPING the game when it comes to our mental health right now is mandatory in my opinion, where rates of anxiety and depression are only going to skyrocket.
With all of this being said, we must support ourselves to move from our current state of fear back into a state of love. So how do we achieve this? See below for my top 3 mental health self care rituals;
Start and end your day with a meditation
Here I encourage you to lean upon youtube to access a wide range of FREE guided meditations. Here you might like to search things like 'guided meditation for anxiety'// 'calming guided meditation'// 'sleep meditation'// 'meditation for positive energy' to name a few examples.
Get Some Sun
Vitamin D is essential for a strong immune system, so ensuring that you exposure your skin to some glorious sunshine for just 10 minutes a day will help to top your vitamin D up and increase your mood. Click here to find out more about my outdoor Holistic Bootcamp (YES it's COVID-19 approved).
Get Bendy

2. HOLISTIC NUTRITION
Let food be thy medicine. Now more than ever is it vital that we lean upon mother nature to use whole-food as medicine. 3. DAILY MOVEMENT
Daily movement not only nourishes the body but also the mind. After all, movement is life so I believe that we must ensure that we move our bodies to live rather than just exist.
Due to recent Government COVID-19 Guidelines all gyms are closed. However, with this being said I am pleased to announce that my 6 Week Holistic Bootcamp is still running, where groups of 4 are allowed to undertake outdoor sessions with 1.5m radius from one another. Not only will these sessions help you to keep your body moving during this time, but it will also boost your Vitamin D levels is required for a strong immune system, as well as, provide a sense of community during this time of isolation and lots more goodness.

4. RESTORATIVE SLEEP
Sleep is most often underestimated when it comes to our health, however, the impact of poor quality sleep directly effects every cell of our mind and body. Our sleep is when all of our cellular repair takes place, so in order to keep our immune system strong good quality sleep is vital. 5. PLAY
Ensuring that we try our best to keep morale HIGH right now is extremely important, not only for our own mental health but also for those around us. Take this time to dive back into those things that bring you joy and play. This may be things like a board games, watercolour painting, dancing like no one is watching to Destiny's Child Survivor or kicking a footy around in the back garden. Find YOUR version of play and enjoy the journey along the way.
